No, I don’t have any children but that doesn’t mean I’m not stocking up on free school supplies! So far I’ve picked up paper, tons of pencils, pens, and tape that will all go to help needy children prepare for heading back to class. If you don’t know of an organization in your area collecting school supplies try to connect with a teacher in your area through ILoveSchools.com. Teachers put in requests for their classrooms. Whether you need the school supplies yourself or you know an organization that does, there are plenty of places to get freebies or super cheap school supplies.
CVS
Through Tuesday (tomorrow) you can get free pencils, pens, paper, binders and more.
Walgreens
Through July 25 pick up 2 pocket folders, pencils, poster board and highlighters for $.09 each or packs of pens and pencils, rulers and paper clips for $.19 each. They’ve also got a bunch of other stuff for less than $1.
Publix
This is my grocery store of choice and they’ve got lots of cheap school supplies including crayons that are three for $1. I picked up two packs of mechanical pencils here for free using a Bic coupon I printed off the Internet.
Staples
There are lots of things that are free with Staples Rewards. You won’t get the credit until October according to the ad, but they’re promoting free backpacks, pencils, pens and highlighters.
Have you found more free school supplies? Let me know about it!
