My Total at CVS? $0!

CVS freeI’ve scored plenty of freebies since I started couponing, but I’ve never actually had a $0 total at the register. Today I picked up four bottles of SoBe water which was on sale, buy one get one free. I combined that deal with this coupon to get four bottles completely free. I also picked up some CVS brand tampons which I’ll be donating. They were $1.89 but ended up being free after Extra Care Bucks. My grand total was $2 and I had a $2 ECB so I didn’t pay anything! Plus I walked about with $1.89 in ECB’s to use next time. That feels pretty cool! What deals have you scored this week?

Stocking Up on Free School Supplies

free school suppliesNo, I don’t have any children but that doesn’t mean I’m not stocking up on free school supplies! So far I’ve picked up paper, tons of pencils, pens, and tape that will all go to help needy children prepare for heading back to class. If you don’t know of an organization in your area collecting school supplies try to connect with a teacher in your area through ILoveSchools.com. Teachers put in requests for their classrooms. Whether you need the school supplies yourself or you know an organization that does, there are plenty of places to get freebies or super cheap school supplies.

CVS

Through Tuesday (tomorrow) you can get free pencils, pens, paper, binders and more.

Walgreens

Through July 25 pick up 2 pocket folders, pencils, poster board and highlighters for $.09 each or packs of pens and pencils, rulers and paper clips for $.19 each. They’ve also got a bunch of other stuff for less than $1.

Publix

This is my grocery store of choice and they’ve got lots of cheap school supplies including crayons that are three for $1. I picked up two packs of mechanical pencils here for free using a Bic coupon I printed off the Internet.

Staples

There are lots of things that are free with Staples Rewards. You won’t get the credit until October according to the ad, but they’re promoting free backpacks, pencils, pens and highlighters.

Have you found more free school supplies? Let me know about it!

Crest Moneymaker at CVS

crest-moneymakerA few weeks ago I filled out a form I spotted at CVS offering Crest Pro Health for free. I had to send the form in along with a receipt that showed I purchased a tube of Crest Pro Health and in exchange they sent me a coupon good for a free tube. This week is a great time to cash those in because when you buy Crest Pro Health you’ll receive $2 in Extra Care Bucks. I’ll be donating my moneymaking Crest to a local homeless shelter.

Both Walgreens and CVS have great deals on shave gel, which I will be donating. Pick up a bottle at both places and you’ll receive Register Rewards or Extra Care Bucks to make it free. Plus if you take this Walgreens coupon into your store today, you’ll get 15% which makes the shave gel just about a $.50 money maker. You’ll also get a free reusable shopping tote.
