Free Di’Giorno Pizza and an Excuse to Host a Party

A few weeks ago I signed up for an account at HouseParty.com. I applied to host a Di’Giorno Pizza Party and I was selected! They sent me lots of great freebies and coupons to give to my party guests, plus six coupons for free pizza!

It was so fun to go to the grocery store and walk out with $48 worth of food without paying anything! About 20 people ended up coming to the bash.

They all got to try Di’Giorno’s new Pizza and Breadsticks combo packs and everyone seemed to enjoy the free food! I’ll gladly host more parties if it means I don’t have to cook!

Cheap Idea for Valentine’s Dinner and Flowers!

FTD Flowers for just $4.99

FTD Flowers for just $4.99

How does getting a $35 discount on dinner and flowers sound for Valentine’s Day? Follow these simple steps and you’ll be on your way to a cheap date!

1. Head to Ebates.com. If you don’t have an account, create one. It’s simple and easy. Search for “Restaurant.com” and use the Ebates.com link to get to Restaurant.com. This will give you 15% cash back on whatever you buy.

2. Once at Restaurant.com, select a gift certificate for a restaurant you enjoy. Use coupon code “BLOOM” to take 60% off your purchase which means a $10 certificate is just $1.60, plus when you factor in your 15% cash back the price is brought down to $1.36.

3. Look in your inbox. After completing your purchase you will receive a link that will take you to FTD.com. That link will give you a $15 credit on everything on the website. The link is good until the end of March, but you can use it to get flowers for Valentine’s Day. The bouquet to the left is just $4.99, plus there are plenty of others that are $14.99. I also received ANOTHER email for a FREE Restaurant.com $10 certificate of my choice. Now that’s an affordable Valentine’s day!

The Freebie Hunt: A Free Date

Total Cost: $0!

Total Cost: $0!

My husband and I are a little over halfway complete with our Two-Week No Spending Challenge. Although we spent $10.12 this morning (I needed some cough medicine bad!) that is the only thing we’ve purchased in ten days! On Friday we went on a freebie hunt. It made for a really fun date of seeing what all we could score for free. Here’s a list of what we got:

* 2 Free 2-liters from Bi-Lo using a coupon I got when I completed this survey about my recent visit to Bi-Lo.

* Free movie from Redbox using code “BREAKROOM”

* Free movie from Blockbuster Express using code “GV9TA4″

* Two free Fresco tacos from Taco Bell using printable coupons.

We will finish our challenge as of midnight on Friday night, but we both agree the Two-Week No Spending Challenge has been a great experience!

How to Find Free Events and Entertainment

Since Christmas is approaching and presents are likely taking a big portion of your pay check, free entertainment is a welcomed gift. With the holiday season in full swing, communities all over the country are offering free events. The trick is knowing how to find them and how to take advantage of them. Here are three ways to find free events and entertainment.
Check out MyCommunityTIckets.com

Once you’re on the site’s homepage, click on “More Event Types” along the left side. This will bring up a long list of event categories including my favorite one: “Yeah, it’s free.” (It’s at the very bottom of the list.) Click on that and you’ll see over 1300 options for free entertainment including free concerts in New York City and line dancing lessons at the Cactus Moon Cafe in Tucsan Arizona.

Look Over Your Community’s Website

Check out your city’s website and look over the calendar of events. I found several free events by searching my city’s web page. Turns out there’s a free Christmas parade down Main Street this weekend and now I’m planning to go.

Visit A Museum Thanks to B of A

Bank of America has a special perk for cardholders (debit and credit). It’s called “Museums on Us” and your card gets you free admission into dozens of museums during the first weekend of the month. Eighteen different states have participating museums. Just visit the Bank of America website for details.
